Time for another overdue update!

As most of you know, in early August, I was laid off from job. It was very upsetting but the very next day after just minutes of submitting my online application to a job, I got a call for an interview the following week. What a morale booster that was! I ended up with in 9 days of my lay off have 3 interviews for two positions and had offers from both. I ended up taking one with a large dental office in Madison and I am one of six patient account reps. Basically I do all the preapproval for crowns, bridges, root canals etc. And all other aspects between the patients and insurance companies. I help the doctors get paid and help the patients make sure their insurance is paying what they are supposed to. I really like my job and the people I work with. My lay off ended up being one of the best things that could have happened. I'm making the same amount and I have the option of getting off at 1:00 every other Friday. I have more paid holidays and earn more vacation time each pay period! The hours are better for our family too! Instead of working from 9:30-6:00, I now work 8:30 to 5:00. I take John to daycare in the AM and then drop Jacob off at school everyday. We'd love to have him ride the bus, but it doesn't come until way after we need to leave to get John off to daycare. Here are some pictures from our adventures from early August thru early October!

Jacob's beloved fish Squeezy....passed away in early August. I didn't even know we had a picture of him until I was looking thru the camera photos....Jacob had gotten ahold of my camera and snapped this one just days before he died! It was an awful day, but as you will see in the photos that follow, we have a couple of new pets!
Jacob and John playing with playdough, in early August. Jacob had a fever, so I was home from work, but other than the fever, he felt fine. They enjoyed their morning outside playing playdoough in their jammies!
During my time between jobs, we were able to go to the zoo with our neighbors and best friends, Maddie and Jack!

Jacob on the merry-go round at the zoo...he really wanted to ride the Cheetah
In late August, Pat and Brenda came for the weekend, but left Maizie with us all day Saturday while they went to a concert. Jacob and John loved helping to take care of Maizie! She is a super easy baby to take care of.....wish my kids would have been 1/2 that easy!
When Maizie was here, we got out Jacob and John's play mate for her, and John ended up playing with it too!
Ryan was getting ready for a run and Jacob asked if he could go with....Ryan said sure and they ended up running 3/4 a mile! Way to go Jacob! Here the are stretching before the run!
Jacob playing Pokemon cards on the front porch with Jack....his favorite thing to do right now!
